Well, back a few years ago, in the Digg era, I had a (relatively) popular Linux blog called I' Been to Ubuntu. I also had some side blogs on Linux gaming and living in the browser before Chrome OS (or even Chrome) was around. In the end, my blog did a lot of stuff on open standards, federated social, and the like, and less on Linux specifically, so I just let it die, and in 2012, I let the domain go.
I'm really kind of an old-school Linux guy. You know, from the 90s. All my sysadmin skills are so out of date that they're basically useless now.
So this Linux blog is going to be about my journey from the IPv4, bare-metal server, SysV Linux world into the modern IPv6, virtualized / containerized, systemd world. It's mostly for myself. If someone else finds the explanations and howtos useful, then great, but I'm not going to be SEOing anything. There's no real money to be made in blogging for me. I don't want another job.
